St Mary’s has helped me so much transitioning into high school. Some reasons are having the opportunity to be a leader in Year 6 has helped me gain so much confidence to step out of my comfort zone and making new friends in secondary school, feeling prepared for the years to come.

The big step from St Marys to secondary school was taken in its stride by my daughter.

She had brought with her the skills learned at St Mary’s; a belief in herself, organisational skills, an excitement for anything new, and values that were instilled giving her confidence to make new friends.

Thank you St Mary’s for the essential skills and great values that have been taught to my daughter, not just to set her up for that first day, but for going forward.

I think most schools would talk about wellbeing, but St Mary’s talk about it as well as walk it, and you can see it.

They actively provide ways to engage and support parents in the development of the whole child, not just the academic side.

Our son enjoyed every minute he spent at St Mary’s for the Prep orientation program over the last couple of months.

He was nervous on the first day but very soon felt at ease and is now really looking forward to starting at St Mary’s next year. This is due to the way you all welcomed him and made him feel happy to be there.

We are very lucky and grateful as a family this to have the support and skills of our children’s teachers.

We have seen such growth and development in our children this year, and much of it comes back to these teachers. 

We have seen our children’s resilience skills grow dramatically, along with her confidence and academic capabilities, developing a whole new set of social skills. The teachers manage to balance both being nurturing as well as discipline.

The teachers’ enthusiasm, encouragement, knowledge and their care for the students is just amazing. Their genuine care for the students’ wellbeing, and their wish for them to be happy, learn and do their best is obvious for all to see. I cannot speak highly enough of them.
